My poor desktop finally exploded this weekend. I am pretty sure it’s something wrong with the mother board. My new rig wont groan in pain while doing edits in photoshop/lightroom. Getting an intel quadcore with 8gb of ram… bla bla bla you get the idea. Its gonna cost me some serious cash (300 dollar mother board !? good lord.) Until i figure out what vital organ i can live with out, my postings might be far and few.

I shot this one during the sunniest time of the day like any self defeating amateur photographer would. I fiddled with some sliders in Lightroom until i controlled the highlight blowout and got a somewhat interesting image.

I did a color and bw version of this shot and i could not decide which one worked better. See the color version here. Let me know which one you think worked best.

I can’t wait until huge developers come and gentrify this awful place.

Camera Raw has some serious power under its hood, rather than ease those sliders gently, try for extreme adjustments. Might get some interesting stuff.
